New semi-detached dwellings
We took on the responsibility to produce the Building Regs information and construction drawings for a pair of new semi-detached dwellings in the Donnington area of Newbury.
Single storey rear extension & kitchen refurbishment to a Grade II listed building
Our brief was to change the dynamic of the East wing by refurbishing the existing kitchen and adding a new, combined family / dining room to the rear of the plot, thus creating a much-needed social element to our client's life-style.
Single storey house based on the original greenhouse for growing peaches
The initial concept was to expand and refurbish the original greenhouse dating back to the late part of the 19th Century. In the end, only the listed wall running through the spine of the building was retained.
Single storey rear extension
Our brief for the project was to introduce a single storey rear extension that would open up the middle and back of the house to create an open-plan kitchen, living and dining space. We were also asked to design the space so that the existing rear extension roof was retained, whilst ensuring the structure conformed to the guidelines of Permitted Development.
Double garage & 1st floor games room
Our objective was to design a double garage with a loft space / games room that was in keeping the main house. The 1st floor loft was to also to include a shower room so it could be used as a guest bedroom if needed.
Single storey side extension and feature roof
The existing lean-to element of our clients' house contained a small garage and a utility room that was not meeting their requirements. Consequently, we replaced the existing structure with a larger footprint that included a shower room, utility room, laundry room and a feature roof structure that extended into the rear garden to create a covered patio.
Single storey rear extension
The primary objective here was to open up the rear of the house and add a new garden room that would link the existing house to the garden. The challenge was to design a 'bridging' space which would connect the house and garden which are at different levels.
